Competition: Microthon 2019 & 3Dtronics 2019

Well Done, Genius Coder Kids!

The month of May was an exciting time as Roboto sent five teams of students from the Genius Coder Programme to two coding competitions.

The Microthon 2019

Held at IDEAS Hub, UWC South East Asia, more than 40 children aged 9 to 11 competed using Thunkable, a block-based coding platform for creating mobile applications. With the theme “Wellness and Productivity,” each team had three hours to create a useful app.

Team Robotechtives created an app to help kids cope with bullying. Team Roboteers created a stress-relieving app that recommends places to visit—and they qualified for the Top 8!

3D-Tronics Competition

About a week later, Roboto sent students to the 3D-Tronics Digital Making National Infocomm Competition, where participants coded and designed robots using micro:bit.

Congratulations to all participating teams on their achievements!
