What is RoboCup Singapore?
RoboCup Singapore is the national selection event for Singapore's top robotics teams. Now in its 18th edition, RoboCup Singapore 2026 selects the best teams to represent Singapore at the RoboCup Asia-Pacific (RCAP) 2026 and the RoboCup World Championship 2026. RoboCup is widely regarded as the pinnacle robotics competition, recognised by top academic institutions and industries worldwide.
Who can participate?
- U12 age group: All members must be 12 and below (for Singapore teams, only primary school students are eligible)
- U19 age group: At least one member must be 12 or above; all members must be 19 or below
- Teams of 2–4 members (Roboto Coding Academy will form the team for your child)
- Open to Singapore MOE school teams, private teams, international school teams, and overseas teams
Competition Format
- RoboCup is a competition league where teams programme autonomous robots to navigate virtual environments to collect objects and complete rescue missions.
- The challenge focuses on path planning and search algorithms — core computer science concepts that develop strong computational thinking skills.
- Held at the Science Center
- Competition date for 2026: 10-12th April 2026
