Code and Build with E-blocks!
In collaboration with the National Library Board (NLB), Roboto Coding Academy presented “Coding Fun with Zecky”—a free parent-child coding workshop at the opening day of library@harbourfront on 12 January 2019.
The Workshop
More than 20 parent-child pairs with pre-schoolers aged 4 to 7 participated. Using Makeblock's Neuron electronic blocks, the workshop had hands-on activities where both parent and child played with interactive electronic blocks that produce sound or light.
What Participants Said
6-year-old Nadia squealed with excitement, “I like playing with the sounds!” Parent Edwin shared that he enrolled his children because of their interest in building things: “I believe that coding will take this interest to the next level.”
Robot Display Showcase
Roboto also presented interactive robots as part of the Tech Showcase @ Libraries initiative by NLB, drawing a thick crowd of curious parents and children.
